Ethel Louise Buxman, 63, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Kansas City Hospice House after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at Mt. Washington Cemetery, 614 S. Brookside, Independence, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, Mo. Ethel was born March 11, 1947, in Henryetta, Okla., the daughter of Frank and Bette (Chambers) Buxman. She was employed with the Jackson County Courthouse for 25 years. Ethel enjoyed gardening, golfing and bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frank Buxman, Jr. Ethel is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
