Revelers gathered at the intersection of Guinotte Avenue and Montgall Street from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, for the spring edition of The East Bottoms Bazaar, a celebration of local entrepreneurs and artisans. Part guerilla retail market, part block party, The East Bottoms Bazaar is a showcase for women who are changing the creative scene in Kansas City.
For sale were apparel and accessories fromWunderhub Vintage, Gilded Jewelry Haus, and Sandlot Goods; candles from Wood + Wick Candles (3% of sales will be donated to National Park Foundation); intimate garments from MADI Apparel; and home and lifestyle goods from Urban Provisions General Store.
Live music was provided from female vocalist Julia Hale, who led an eclectic ensemble performance in the yard West of the Urban Provisions general store. Guest chef Rachel Rinas served Cuban street food from the Pigwich’s food truck.
