July 23: Friday in the Park at North Kansas City’s Festival Pavilion in Macken Park. Hogfish Gumbo will bring Cajun and Zydeco music from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. All concerts are free and open to the public, and every event features a drawing for prizes donated by local businesses.

July 24: Community Park Clean-Up at Kessler Park and North Terrace Lake, 8 a.m. to noon. Trash Pick-up, Invasive Honeysuckle RemovaL, & Tidying Up. Meet at the south side of Lexington Bridge, around the lake at Kessler Park. Bring water, gloves, pruning equipment (if available), and community spirit.
