Thursday, July 27 – Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Adopt-A-Street clean up! SRNA has adopted Thompson and Roberts Avenues and will be picking up trash and litter between Benton Blvd and Myrtle Avenues, Concourse Park, Benton Blvd. and Anderson at 7 p.m. Trash bags provided. Bring gloves.
Friday, July 28- Pop in at the Park. Free books and activities at Budd Park, from 3 to 5 p.m. This week’s program is focused on paleontology. Sponsored by the Kansas City Public Library and Parks & Recreation. Free.

Wednesday, August 2 – Join the Northeast News as we debut this year’s Back to School issue, cookout style. 2659 Independence Boulevard, from 5 to 7 p.m. Our interns have been hard at work this summer creating the most in-depth edition in our history – in English and Spanish! We’re excited to host our community for food & yard games at the Northeast News. This is a fundraiser to support our community news efforts.
Wednesday, August 2 –Art as Mentorship is hosting a Happy Hour from 4-6 PM at PH Coffee, 2200 Lexington Avenue. Join us for an evening of conversation and music from Art as Mentorship students and staff. Help us celebrate the work we’ve done this year and gear up for what’s to come!
Friday, August 4 – Summer Lawn Concerts at the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd. 7:00-9:00 pm. Headliner: Boxcar Brethren. $5 per adult in advance, $10 at the door. Kids under 12 are free.
