Closed for the winter, the City of Kansas City Leaf and Brush Drop-off Sites are now open again.
Centers are located at 1815 N. Chouteau Tfwy. (just south of the Missouri River) and 10301 Raytown Rd. (south of Interstate 470). They will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or sunset, depending on which is earlier.
Residents may dispose of leaves, yard waste and brush, including tree trimmings, at the centers. Residents needing to dispose of leaves and brush may also utilize the city’s curbside Leaves and Brush Collection Program. Spring collection will begin in April.
Drop-off site rules include:
•Providing proof of residency with a valid driver’s license or state-issued I.D.
•No drop-offs from commercial enterprises.
•Grandview and Raytown residents may use the sites with a voucher purchased from their respective municipalities.
•Only leaves, yard waste and brush, including tree trimmings, are accepted. Grass clippings are not accepted.
•Leaves may be brought in paper yard-waste bags. To seal a bag, use masking tape only. Wire, duct tape and other plastic tape is not acceptable. If using plastic bags, empty them and take the bags with you.
•Individuals may be asked to empty bags to show there is no trash.
