Charles Robert Turman, 50, a former Historic Northeast resident, died April 5, 2013, in Longview, Texas. Arrangements are by East Texas Funeral, Longview, Texas.
Charles Turman, known to most people as “Chuck,” was born Aug. 21, 1962, to Joseph and Viola Turman.
He worked many different jobs throughout his life; he worked for car lots, in lawn care, apartment maintenance, and worked on cars.
He had a daughter Marie in July of 1979 and he got married in October of 2007. Chuck enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to go fishing. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Joseph Turman and Viola Strange; mother-in-law Linzy Ridgeway; sister Sheilaand; and sister-in-law Sherry Deininger. He is survived by his wife, Dannie Turman, of Texas; daughter Marie Barks of Northeast Kansas City; granddaughter Elizabeth Barks of Northeast Kansas City; father-in-law Steve Deininger of New Jersey; brothers Rick and Ron Turman, Leland Stange and John Cochron, all of Kansas City; sisters Linda Chitwood, Janet and Linda Strange, all of Kansas City, and Brenda Turman of Utah; and sisters-in-law Ruth Warren, Grace Ridgeway and Linda Franching of New Jersey.
He had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.
