KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Jackson County Prosecutors have charged a Kansas City man with the killing last week of Thomas Kuzila in Pendleton Heights.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Lorenzo Washington, 29, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, a class A felony, and felony armed criminal action. Kuzila, a Journeyman Pipefitter, was found in an alley on January 30, 2016, with a gunshot wound to the head.
During questioning, Washington admitted to luring Kuzila in to the alley then shooting him in the head and stealing his truck. Washington was taken into custody over the weekend and is being held in the Jackson County jail on a $250,000 bond.
