Northeast Arts KC’s Chalk Walk in the Historic Northeast persevered on Saturday, April 27 despite the gloomy weather. Though rain and blustery conditions limited turnout at the typically popular annual event, some artists still put together awe-inspiring work. The pieces drawn on Saturday included a depiction of Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night, a detailed bunch of flowers, and a cheeky depiction of a weather map forecasting rain over Kansas City. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled early on Sunday, April 28, as heavy winds took down the 30′ by 70′ tent that had protected the chalking area.
