KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Frontier STEM High School students got a taste of what day-to-day life in the real world is all about yesterday morning as the high school kicked off its annual Career Fair.

Over twenty area companies were on hand to answer student’s questions about possible career paths with companies such as Commerce Bank or Children’s Mercy Hospital. Leslie Gasser was helping at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce table and noted the caliber of the students attending.

“These are really some bright kids,” Gasser said.

Michelle Cowthran, assistant principal at the school, said the school hosts a career fair to expand student’s horizons.

“We really wanted to expose our students to a variety of different careers and possible fields they could explore,” Cowthran said. “Education is key in moving forward in life and hopefully events like this help to clarify possible career options for our students.”
