This week’s Book of the Week comes recommended from Annie Windholz, Library Technical Assistant at North-East Branch Library.

She chose “The Undocumented Americans” by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio for our series on immigrants.

“A piece of literary nonfiction, Villavicencio weaves together individual stories to paint a more complete picture of immigrant lives in America,” Windholz said. “The author details her own struggles with documentation in America and how her story intersects with the stories of other undocumented people she meets, listens to and befriends.”

“The Undocumented Americans” can be found using a Kansas City Public Library card as a paper copy or a downloadable eBook.
