This week’s book recommendation comes from Shirl Maldonado, Senior Library Assistant at the North-East Branch of the Kansas City Library.

Shirl chose “She Persisted Around the World: 13 Women Who Changed History” by Chelsea Clinton.

“[These are] amazing stories about 13 women who were told they couldn’t, but never gave up and changed history,” Shirl said. “They persisted and changed the way women are seen around the world.”
