KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Salvation Army received a special delivery Friday morning.
Just in time for Christmas, the AT&T Communication Workers of America delivered over 1,000 toys to The Salvation Army Bellefontaine Community Center. The AT&T group has participated in the Salvation Army’s “Angel Tree” program for at least the last 20 years and is the largest single providers of toys for the program in the Kansas City area.
Each Christmas, the Salvation Army provides toys for more than 16,000 children in the Kansas City metropolitan area through the Angel Tree and Adopt-a-Family Christmas assistance programs. Families will also receive a Christmas Food Box with items to make a Christmas meal when they pick-up their toys on either Dec. 22 and 23. There’s still time to help a family in need this Christmas.
