Museum Kids Summer Drop-ins
The Kansas City Museum will host its summer drop-in program on Wednesdays and Fridays in August from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is free. Drop in with your child for games, music, stories and arts & crafts.

La Chalupa Farmer’s Market
Mattie Rhodes Community Center, 148 N. Topping, will host La Chalupa Farmer’s Market every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Mattie Rhodes parking lot. EBT/SNAP cards will get extra dollars for local produce.
Hard Hat Happy Hour
Explore Kansas City Museum’s more than 100-year-old mansion home, Corinthian Hall, with a glass of wine during the Kansas City Museum’s Hard Hat Happy Hour, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Examine 100-year-old craftsmanship and hear first-hand about plans for the grand mansion’s future from Museum Director Christopher Leitch and museum staff. Cost is $5. Tour members must be 21 to attend and wear closed-toe shoes.
Thurs-Day Dreamin’
Join North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., at 4:30 p.m. for Thurs-Day Dreamin’. Each Thursday will feature a creative activity ranging from games to crafts to workshops to movies and more! Most enjoyed by Tweens and Teens.

Back to School Rally
A Back to School Rally will be held from 6 p.m. to ? at Victory Temple Christian Life Center, 3301 E. 12th St., Kansas City, Mo. The evening will include health information, basketball, refreshments, school supplies, bounce houses, stage performances, music, horseback rides and more. All are invited to attend. Join the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., for its Summer Concert Series on Friday, Aug. 10. The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature The Grisly Hand, a delectable mash of styles with a folk twinge.
Community Crime Prevention Showcase
A Community Crime Prevention Showcase will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northeast Middle School’s Soccer Field, 4904 E. Independence Ave. The free event will include live bands, horse rides, refreshments, bounce houses, carnival games, a garage sale and school supplies. The event is being sponsored by a number of area churches, KCPD, KCFD, Samuel U. Rogers Health Center and ACTS Ministries.
Knights of Columbus Monthly Breakfast

In the Pink of the Evening Summer Concert Series
Northeast Arts KC’s next installment of its summer concert series will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Colonnade at Concourse Park. The free concert will also include a round-up of area food truck vendors along Gladstone Boulevard. Featured band will be Rex Hobart and the Honky Tonk Standards.
