Wimpy Kid Club
Attention all fans of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid! North-East Public Library will host a book club at the library at 5 p.m. Attendees will read from the book, act out scenes, create crafts and play games.

Learn about navigating your computer in this class, which offers insight into hardware and software components. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. at the North-East Public Library.

Indian Mound Neighborhood Meeting
Indian Mound Neighborhood Association will host its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16.
Tuesday, February 17
Beads, Beens and Beer
The Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Beads, Beans and Beer fundraiser from 5: 30 – 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Don Bosco Senior Center, 580 Campbell, Kansas City, Mo. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets also available for purchase from the Northeast News, 5715 St. John Ave. In addition to food and drinks, there will be a live auction, Mardi Gras costume contest, live jazz music, a raffle, door prizes and more. To reserve tickets in advance, call (816) 231-3312. All proceeds go towards future Historic Northeast events.

All you can eat shrimp dinner
The Hibernians are sponsoring an all you can eat shrimp dinner every Friday in Lent, beginning Friday, Feb. 20. The dinner will take place form 5 – 7:30 p.m. at the Redemptorist Cafeteria, 3333 Broadway Blvd. Admission is $14 for adults and $6 for children.
