KC Museum Hard Hat Tour

Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the 100+ year old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family. Visitors will see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation, the bare interior of the building exposed for the first time in decades. Visitors will also tour the exhibit inside Corinthian Hall: Planning for the Future: Find History at Kansas City Museum. Admission is free and this week’s tours will be held Wednesday through Saturday at 10 a.m. and at noon on Sunday at the museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd.

Spanish lessons

Computer Class — email

Sign up for a free e-mail account and follow along with this tutorial that teaches the ins and outs of sending and receiving email, as well as how to organize your messages. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd.

Concert at the Collenade

A free concert from 7 – 9 p.m. on the Colonnade, across from Concourse Park at Gladstone Blvd and St. John. The event is hosted by the Northeast Arts of Kansas City.

Kansas City Digital Media Lab

The KCDML is open to youth ages 13-18 every Tuesday from 3:30 – 7 p.m. at the Kansas City Library. It’s a safe space for youth who are interested in, or want to learn more about storytelling and/or coding. You’ll have access to equipment and adult collaborators to learn, create, and grow. All of the adult collaborators have had background checks and are simply available to help youth take their expertise and interest to the next level.

Northeast High School Class of 1969 reunion

For its 45th Class Reunion, the class of 1969 is inviting anyone in the Northeast who went to NHS between 1967-1971 to join the festivities. Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, the class will meet for dinner and socializing at Paul and Jack’s Tavern, 1808 Clay St., North Kansas City. From 6 – 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, the class is gathering at CoCo Key Water Resort, 9103 E. 39th St. The cost for the event on Saturday is $45 per person.

Fish Fry

Enjoy some deep fried catfish from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the NBA Church, 200 N. Bales Ave. Dine-in and delivery services are available for $7.50 and $9, respectively. The menu also includes coleslaw, potato salad, hush puppies french fries and mac and cheese.
