KC Museum Hard Hat Tour
Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the 100+ year old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family. Visitors will see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation, the bare interior of the building exposed for the first time in decades. Visitors will also tour the exhibit inside Corinthian Hall: Planning for the Future: Find History at Kansas City Museum. Admission is free and this week’s tours will be held Wednesday through Friday at 2 p.m. at the museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd.

Meeting Paul Mesner puppets “The Stinky Cheese Man”
Beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the North-East Library, Paul Mesner adapts the book from Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith into a puppet show. The story contains zany versions of classic tales with the fabulous humor that has made this Caldecott Award winning book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith so popular. You will have fun with Jack, the narrator, who takes your through the twists and turns of this wacky tale. Learn the real story of Chicken Licken or is that Chicken Little? And then there is the Cinderumpelstiltskin. Will she have to spin her own dress? Will she go to the ball?
Summer Concert Series
Join the Kansas City Museum for Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys, a 60s and 70s era honky-tonk, local 5-piece band, from 7 – 9 p.m. outside the museum on Gladstone Boulevard.

Kansas City Digital Media Lab
The KCDML is open to youth ages 13-18 every Tuesday from 3:30 – 7 p.m. at the Kansas City Library. It’s a safe space for youth who are interested in, or want to learn more about storytelling and/or coding. You’ll have access to equipment and adult collaborators to learn, create, and grow. All of the adult collaborators have had background checks and are simply available to help youth take their expertise and interest to the next level.

Daughters of Columbus will host and sponsor a taco dinner at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11 at the Sons of Columbus Hall, 2415 Independence Avenue. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Dinner includes tacos, beans, rice and a dessert.
