Community crime meetings
Community members are continuing to meet every Wednesday at noon at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. The group brings neighborhood safety concerns together and forwards them to the police department. All are welcome.
Teen Hip Hop Academy
Every Wednesday beginning at 4:40 p.m., Jeremy and his crew from Hip Hop Academy host this free event at the North-East Public Library, teaching creativity to youth through the positive elements of Hip Hop culture. Museum Kids Saturday Workshop
Kansas City Museum will host Museum Kids Saturday Workshop from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Children ages seven to 12 will learn about hats and their many uses, from military helmets and headgear to Sunday best hats in this hands-on workshop with educator Beth Harris. Cost is $10 or $8 for members.

First Sunday Family Fun Day
Bring the whole family to First Sunday Family Fun Day from noon to 4 p.m. at the Kansas City Museum. Explore one of the most dynamic ages in U.S. and world history, the Gilded Age. Build your own bridge inspired by the Brooklyn Bridge, create your own work of art inspired by the age, and much more. Family Fun Day is free to the public.
