Royals opening day festivities included Relay the Way, the longest opening day first pitch that began at Union Station and wound its way along Kansas City streets including the 18th & Vine Jazz District and past the old Municipal Stadium site at 22nd and Brooklyn. Kids got a chance to play ball with Royals Hall of Fame Third Baseman George Brett, Mayor Sly James and Royals General Manager Dayton Moore.
