We asked our readers to submit their creative writing and artwork for a chance to win a pair of single day passes to Planet Comicon KC this weekend. The winners are in and we’re excited to share what they submitted.
First, here’s a cute Mandalorian poem by Becki Sherwood:
In a pram that floats through stars so wide,
a tiny green child looks out with pride.
His ears stick out like wings in flight,
his eyes glow softly in the night.
He lifts a frog, he lifts a stone,
sometimes he lifts a ship alone.
A sip of soup, a quiet coo,
the Force moves gently when he moves too.
Small robe dragging on the floor,
little footsteps at the door.
Though he’s tiny, brave, and true
the galaxy smiles at baby Grogu
Next, we had fan art by Monique Gonzales’s daughter:

Cosmo Crouch submitted this throwback to Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim:

Ian Partain sent us this great Star Wars themed pixel art.

Belén Velazquez created this artwork of Quinter above Jade mountain, inspired by the World of Wings of Fire

Anahit Jons (Անահիտ Ջոնս) created this costume for Planet Comicon. Look for them at the event and tell them hello and great work!

Thank you to everyone who sent your writing and artwork to us. We really enjoyed all of it, and we hope you will all continue to share your work with us in the future. Have fun at Planet Comicon this weekend. If you take pictures, please share them with us at NortheastNewsKC@Gmail.com.
