Thomas “Tom” Larabee, 69, of Kansas City, Mo., left his family and friends to be with God on Sept. 1, 2011. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. A military graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. Arrangements are by Heartland Cremation & Burial Society.

Tom was born Dec. 9, 1941, to Sylvester and Veta Larabee. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Tom and his wife, Delma, owned Larabee Plumbing and Heating for many years before retiring. Tom was a member of Plumber’s Local # 8.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delma (McMurry); son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Nancy Larabee; sons, Carl Larabee, James Larabee; daughter, Lynda Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Craig Gregory; grandkids, Christopher, Chad, Michelle, Eric, Craig Jr., and Thomas; brother, Sonny Larabee; and sister, Rosalie Williams.

He will be missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren and friends. Tom will be remembered for the many animals he loved and care for.
