Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is ready for a night of baseball – T-bones Baseball, to be exact.

Whether you’re a chamber member or not, the Northeast Chamber is hoping you’ll join them for the Kansas City T-Bones home opener at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Community America Ballpark.

The minor league baseball team premiered in Kansas City, Kan., in 2003 and belongs to the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, a 14-team league.

“Not only will you see great baseball, but you will enjoy a family-friendly experience with crazy promotions between innings, and good, reasonably priced food,” said chamber board member Tom Soptick.

Since it’s opening night, the first 2,000 fans will receive free T-Bones T-shirts and beer is $1 all night long. In addition, the first 1,000 fans to arrive will receive a voucher for a $1 hot dog.

Cost is $10 per ticket and parking is free at the Community America Ballpark, 1800 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan. Transportation is on your own.

To purchase your ticket through the chamber and for more information, contact the chamber at (816) 231-3312 or email nekcchambe@aol.com. Deadline to purchase tickets is May 10.
