KC Current
It was a busy weekend for the Kansas City Current. The team traveled to Evanston, Illinois, where they dropped a hard-fought 2-1 decision to Chicago Stars FC on Sunday.
Despite the loss, there were bright spots. Defender Izzy Rodriguez recorded a historic assist, while forward Haley Hopkins delivered a gritty goal in the 57th minute to keep Kansas City within striking distance. The Current pushed for a late equalizer but couldn’t break through.
They won’t have to wait long for another opportunity. The Current continue their three-match road swing on Wednesday, March 25, traveling west to face Seattle Reign FC at 8:00 p.m. CT. To learn how you can watch this match, visit the Kansas City Current website.

KC Mavericks
The Kansas City Mavericks continue to stay hot late in the season.
Kansas City picked up another win Tuesday night on the road against the Wichita Thunder, continuing what has been a strong stretch run as they hold position near the top of the ECHL standings.
The victory adds to recent momentum for the Mavericks, who have been difficult to beat down the stretch as they gear up for the postseason.
They’ll return home to Cable Dahmer Arena this Saturday, March 28, at 6:05 p.m. for “Racing Night,” where they’ll once again face Wichita in a key late-season matchup. Buy tickets here.
