Northeast Arts KC is turning 30, and they’re inviting the community to help celebrate at this year’s ARTy Halloween pARTy, happening from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at St. John Gardens, 3922 St. John Avenue.

This year’s gathering will mark three decades since its founding in 1995, of supporting and celebrating the arts in Kansas City’s Historic Northeast — and for the first time, this is a ticketed event. Admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the gate, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit’s ongoing programs and events. Children under 12 get in free with a ticketed parent.

Guests are encouraged to come in costume — perhaps as their favorite artist or work of art — and join in a lively evening of music, food, and firelit fun. The celebration features live music by Phill Wang, fire entertainers, and a campfire drum circle, plus grilled food, s’mores, and hot apple cider. Of course, no birthday is complete without cake.

The event will take place rain or moonlight, with tents, seating, and restrooms available on-site. Luminaries will light the way into the garden for an evening filled with art, community, and creativity.
