The Kansas City Police Department launched a new Web site this week.

The site, which can still be found at www.kcpd.org, includes a reorganized and redesigned format. Web site users can download various crime statistics, including a daily homicide analysis that details the number of homicides to date, victim and suspect age, race and gender statistics and more.

The Police Department’s crime prevention brochures will be available on the new site, and they may be printed.

Users also may quickly link to neighborhood crime maps, the Crime Stoppers’ site for submitting tips and Chief Jim Corwin’s blog, which is updated nearly daily.
