The group of nonprofit news outlets gathered at Independence Boulevard Christian Church on Thursday, May 18, for the first in a series of public listening sessions to gather feedback from the Northeast community. Local journalists listened to neighbors about issues that affect their communities and gathered topics that neighbors would like to see more coverage on. They discussed civic engagement, diversity and language access, misconceptions about the community, and more with a variety of residents.
