As food insecurity continues to impact Kansas City families, the Kansas City Health Department is reminding residents of its ongoing Food Pantry and Resource Fair, now held on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. The next event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Health Department’s offices located at 2400 Troost Ave.

The monthly pantry primarily focuses on distributing fresh produce to community members in need. Supplies are available while they last, and the event also connects residents with local organizations offering additional support and resources.

The Food Pantry and Resource Fair is organized by the Kansas City Health Department in collaboration with several community partners, including University Health, Lead to Read, Harvesters, the Kansas City Public Library, and the UMKC Health Sciences District. Together, these groups aim to make nutritious food and essential services more accessible for families and individuals facing hunger.

The initiative reflects the Health Department’s mission to protect and improve the health of Kansas City residents through community outreach, prevention, education, and partnerships.
