On Friday evening, June 26, at 9 p.m., Kansas City Police officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of E. 7th St., in the Lykins neighborhood of Historic Northeast, on a reported disturbance and sound of shots. 

Officers arrived to the area and located an adult male victim lying in the driveway of a residence, suffering from apparent gunshot trauma and unresponsive. Officers rendered medical aid until EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. 

On Sunday, June 28, the victim was identified as Larrieux, Emmanuel, B/M, 01/25/2001.

Preliminary investigation indicates an argument ensued between multiple people which escalated into shots being fired. An adult male subject was taken into custody for further questioning. 

Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene to begin gathering evidence and collecting witness statements. This incident is being investigated as a homicide and is ongoing at this time.

KCPD states they are committed to assisting victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.
