Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is stepping outside its usual slate of events.

To create another “bonding activity” for both chamber members and non-chamber members, the Chamber will be taking a trip to the March 2 Missouri Mavericks game which starts at 7:05 p.m.

“Any time you go to a Mavericks game, it’s just a fun activity – whether you like hockey or not,” NEKC Chamber Vice President Tom Soptick said.

NEKC Chamber has reserved 20 tickets and cost is $20 per ticket. Children under 2 ½ are free if they sit on a parents’ lap. Ticket payment is due on Feb. 21. Those attending must provide their own transportation to the game, which will be played at the Independence Events Center, 19100 East Valley View Parkway Independence, Mo. Parking is free.
