Homicide 700 block of Spruce

One man is dead and another has serious injuries after an overnight shooting in the 700 block of Spruce Avenue.

Monday morning just after 2 a.m., two adult male shooting victims arrived at North Kansas City Hospital by private vehicle.  

Preliminary information was that the shooting possibly occurred in the 700 block of Spruce. Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) officers responded and located an apparent crime scene there.

One of the victims is being treated for serious injuries, and the other victim was declared deceased by medical staff.

Detectives and crime scene personnel processed the scene for evidence and canvassed for witnesses.
