Kansas City, Missouri — The Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center (SURHC) is partnering with “MusiCares,” the non-profit arm of the Grammy’s, to host an event targeting Kansas City area musicians and artists who may be in need of Health Insurance Marketplace information and assistance.

The informational event will take place from 3 – 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at SURHC’s Education Center, 2100 E. 9th St. Certified Marketplace Counselors will be available to share insurance options with this segment of the Kansas City workforce. The event will be an introductory one, with one-on-one counseling appointments being made with participants for a follow-up date and time. “MusiCares” was established by the Recording Academy in 1989 to provide a safety net of critical assistance to music people in times of need.
