Fifty-four applicants are vying for the position of Chief of Police of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.

With the application process now closed, the Board of Police Commissioners will review the applications and host several meetings to narrow down the pool.

Meeting dates are:
Monday, Aug. 8: Narrow down pool of applicants
Monday, Aug. 22: Conduct a public forum with the top candidates
Tuesday, Aug. 23: Board will interview the top candidates and announce their selection that evening
Meeting locations will be announced at a later date.
