Families gathered at The Concourse (200 Benton Blvd.) on Easter Sunday (April 5)  as hundreds of colorful plastic eggs filled with candy were tossed on the grass in preparation for this year’s egg hunt.

Cedillo was pleased with the turnout and said,” I’d like to thank the community of Northeast and beyond. We found out we had people from Belton, Lawrence and Lee’s Summit joining our event. I enjoyed it, just seeing the beautiful smiles of joy with both the children and adults. There are so many people that told me thank you very much, and a lot of blessings from them.“

Volunteers cleaned up the park after the event and Cedillo already plans to host this event again next year.

“I’m happy to do something for my community and especially the children of the Northeast area.”
