Friday, June 5- Pop-In at the Park, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Lykins Square Park (8th St. & Myrtle Ave.) Sign up for the Kansas City Public Library’s Summer Reading Program and receive a free age-appropriate book. Free meals for kids age 1- 18 and hands-on educational activities.

Friday, June 5- Northeast High Alumni Fish Fry, 5 to 8 p.m. Moretina’s Caddy Shack, 700 E. 3rd St. This fundraiser for the school’s Alumni Association offers three pieces of Lufti’s fried fish, fries, coleslaw and roll for $12. Come support viking alumni and their scholarship programs.

Friday, June 5- Don Bosco Dance Party, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., Knuckleheads, 2715 Rochester Ave. This fundraiser for the Don Bosco Senior Center features entertainment by the Yachties Band and spaghetti dinner from Johnny C’s. Thursday, June 10- Coffee, Culture and Conversation- 10 a.m., Northeast Chamber of Commerce, 2657 Independence Blvd. Stop by for a cup of coffee, a sweet treat, and conversation about what’s happening in Northeast. This month’s topic will feature information from KC Water about water lines and identifying lead pipes. Free.
