Join PH neighbors for this celebration to mark the completion of this neighborhood park, featuring native plantings and seating areas. Food and drink will be provided by the Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association; free.

Saturday, Sept. 13- Family Recovery Day, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Concourse (200 Benton Blvd.) Celebrate recovery from substance abuse with activities for the whole family. Food, live music and resources. Sponsored by KC Recovery Coalition and Healing House KC; free.

Sunday, Sept. 14- Parish Festival, 8 a.m to 3 p.m., Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave. Fun activities for the whole family include horseback riding, children’s train, bouncy castle, singers and dancers, games, food and raffles for cash and prizes.

Friday, Sept. 19- BINGO Night, 6 p.m., St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph Hall, 3208 Lexington Ave. Doors open at 4 p.m., BINGO begins at 6 p.m. Come have dinner and stay to play, 3 papers and 3 cards for $6, Meatball sandwiches, $5, nachos, $2, chips, dessert and drinks, $1.
