Saturday, May 24- Monday, May 26- Memorial Day Celebration at Elmwood Cemetery, 4900 E. Truman Rd. Cemetery gates will be open from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Open House from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Armour Chapel. Daily. Memorial Day service begins at 9 a.m. with the raising of the American flag, with an interfaith remembrance service in the chapel at 9:30 a.m.
Monday, May 26- Memorial Day. Schools, banks, the United States Post Office and all government offices will be closed to observe this federal holiday. The Northeast News office will be closed but will not affect the delivery of our May 28 issue.
