Following several recent storms in the Kansas City area, the City’s Public Works department has announced that on Wednesday, June 17, residents may call 311 or use the myKCMO app to request pick-up of fallen tree branches. Requests will be accepted until 7:00 p.m. on Friday June 26 and collection will begin on Monday, June 29.

Users of the myKCMO app should select “Brush Special Collection Request” from the category list. Brush will only be collected by appointment and should be prepped for collection. Tree limbs should be cut in 4 ft. lengths and stacked on the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29. Smaller branches, no longer than 4 ft., should be bundled with non-plastic rope or twine. Bags of grass clippings or other yard waste will not be collected.

Collection sites will accept storm debris from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., starting Monday, June 15 through Saturday, June 20. These sites are free for residents within Kansas City limits: 10301 Raytown Road, 7700 E. U.S. Highway 40 and 11660 N. Main Street. These sites are available through an agreement with Missouri Organics, which also provides free drop-off collection for city residents on Saturdays, with the exception of holidays.
