On Saturday, July 9, Calvary Temple at 5607 St. John Avenue hosted a community outreach to kick off summer. Victor Arndt, a Christian hip hop artist performed at the event. The church served hot dogs, chips, provided face painting for children, and had yard games and a bounce house. Hardees gift cards were given out to many who attended.


Approximately 100 people attended the event. Beverly Martinez, who helped organize the event, said “Six of our attendees were baptized; the youngest was four years old.”


Calvary Temple also hosts a Sunday morning church service at 10:30 a.m. They have a Wednesday evening Bible study at 7:00 p.m. and a Friday morning prayer at 10:00 a.m.
