NORTHEAST KANSAS CITY, Mo.- From November 2024 through January 2025, Northeast Kansas City, and its surrounding areas, has experienced a total of 78 structure fires — including residential, commercial, vacant and occupied buildings — within its zip codes: 64106, 64123, 64124, 64125, 64126 and 64127. Of these 78, 23 occurred in November 2024, 25 in December and 30 throughout the month of January 2025.
The cause of these fires has ranged anywhere from incendiary to electrical and accidental, among others — many direct causes still remain undetermined, according to The Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD)
The locations as marked on the map are approximate and arranged within the “block” of direct locations for the privacy of individuals involved and the structures.
