Whole lotta shootin’ goin’ on. If you’ve noticed an uptic in the police presence here in Northeast, you’re not alone.

Maybe it’s because there seems to be a spike in gun voilence here in the neighborhood over the last couple of weeks.

A drive-by shooting on St. John took a life last Thursday.

Sunday afternoon near St. John and White, another shooting injured a man standing on his porch.

Then, there’s the body of a woman found near Cliff Drive and The Paseo last weekend, too.

It just seems to this news-canine that there are those out there who enjoy ruinnin’ up the crime rate because it serves their needs. The rest of us, however, aren’t big fans of dodgin’ the bullets to get to the grocery store or the dry cleaners.

But fear not denizens of a safer Northeast, your fearless Police Chief and the County Prosecutor are hard at it, making our streets safer.

Not buyin’ it? Hmmm, neither is this newshound.

But then again, the police department is in crime management, not law enforcement. Don’t look for relief any time soon, boys and girls.
