If you missed the Pendleton Heights Holiday Homes Tour this last weekend, then you missed one of the best neighborhood hosted events in Historic Northeast, bar none. This Newshound has seen more than a few so that’s sayin’ something.

Quite literally, the planets aligned and it was a fantastic event. Tour organizers should be proud. They really pushed the envelope with the pop-up gallery in the gymnasium at Scuola Vita Nuova and the food trucks lined up on Amie by Garfield Elementary School. It was just like it used to be back in the 1990s when both Pendleton Heights and Scarritt Renaissance neighborhoods hosted tours that rivaled Hyde Park in terms of attendance and pre-event excitement.

Initial reports indicate that roughly 500 guests strolled through the neighborhood on a picture perfect day in early December. This nosy newspooch would like to offer up some hefty kudos to tour organizers and the volunteers who really made this a stellar event. Historic Northeast proud.
