Volunteers needed for “Backpacks for Achievement”

Backpacks for “Backpacks for Achievement” full of school supplies and a personal care kit will be handed out to 11,600 elementary students in the Kansas City, Missouri School District (KCMSD).

On the first day of school, Aug. 15, KCMSD is looking for volunteers to help hand out these backpacks by going to each classroom to present backpacks to every student.

Those interested in volunteering can contact KCMSD Public Relations and Marketing at 816-418-7420 or email publicinfo@kcmsd.net with a name, phone number and desired school.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, Aug. 10.
