Victim in Northeast shooting identified

The victim in Tuesday’s shooting in Northeast has been identified as Miguel C. Padilla, 16.

Police responded to a call of a reported shooting about 20 minutes after midnight Tuesday morning in the 400 block of Denver Avenue.

Police found a male victim, now identified as Padilla, behind a residence suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

After being transported to a nearby hospital, Padilla was pronounced deceased.

If anyone has any information or saw anything at all, please call the Homicide Unit directly at 234-5043 or the TIPS hotline anonymously at 474-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to arrest in this case.
