Road construction on Chouteau Trafficway Bridge could affect travel to the Northland in coming weeks.

Traffic changes will be made as part of a project to install a four-inch steel conduit to the existing structure of the MO Route 269/Chouteau River Bridge.

Crews will close the northbound right thru lane from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, Monday through Saturday, beginning Monday, Sept. 28 and continuing until Saturday, Nov. 14.

Crews will close the east bicycle and pedestrian lane 24/7 beginning Monday, Sept. 28 and continuing until Saturday, Nov. 14.

All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
