A section of Independence Avenue was blocked off for an hour May 23 due to a three-vehicle collision.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. at the corner of Independence Avenue and Elmwood.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, a Kia was headed westbound on Independence Avenue when it swerved to pass a Jalisco Foods, Inc. truck. The Kia hit the eastbound truck, which caused the truck to hit a Cadillac. Two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
