Friends of a Don Bosco Senior Center employee, who recently had a stroke, are hosting a fundraiser that will include Cuban cuisine, live music and crafts. The event for Debora Dalilah Demeter will take place beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Don Bosco Senior Center, 580 Campbell St., Kansas City, Mo.

The authentic Cuban cuisine will be available for $5. Saxophonist Dave Panico and band member Gerald Trimble and friends will begin performing at around 7 p.m. for a $5 suggested donation. Members of a local Sufi dance troupe will also perform. Sale and raffle items include themed baskets, such as chocolate, an assortment of baked goods, handmade purses and other gift items.
