Officers investigating Sunday morning homicide in Northeast

 

Early Sunday morning turned deadly near the corner of 10th street and Chestnut Ave.

Around 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area on a sound of shots call. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased black male in the street suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was later identified as Darren Thompson, 27.

An area canvas was conducted and the investigation is ongoing. No suspect information is available at this time.

There is a $25,000 reward for any tip leading to an arrest.
