Northeast News

Last week, Northeast News said goodbye to managing editor Elizabeth Orosco. She joined our staff in November 2018, and in her time here, she spent a lot of time covering things happening in our city and in Northeast, but she had a passion for reporting on education and library events. Orosco continued the award-winning weekly podcast, the Northeast Newscast, and made it her own. She often received high praise for her work.

Many of our readers knew Orosco not simply as the managing editor of the community newspaper, but as a neighbor; Pendleton Heights was her home during her time here. We are sad to see her go, as she has returned to Houston, Texas to be close to family. We wish her the best of luck and thank her for her time here at the House of News!
