According to the Kansas City Business Journal, Mary Cyr, director of Northeast Alliance Together (NEAT), has accepted the Executive Director position with the The Downtown Overland Park Partnership. Cyr was hired as the first director of NEAT in October 2015. In her time with NEAT, she has advocated on the behalf of Northeast communities for many projects and policies, including the organization of the State Of The Northeast Forum and the NEHS Youth Summit. She also oversaw the hiring of many Americorp VISTAs; Michelle Hatch, Ana Ramirez, Christina Gonzalez, and most recently, Gabe Glaser, all who worked on behalf of neighborhoods.
Mary Cyr’s last day with NEAT will be Monday, March 25. Northeast News will have more about Cyr’s experiences in Northeast, her transition into her new role, and the future of NEAT in an upcoming issue.
