NEighborhood Family Care, located on Independence Avenue, has welcomed a new doctor to the clinic this month.

Linnea Williams, D.O., will work at the clinic in June on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. Williams is currently an independent contractor, but wants to start her own practice in Midtown, says Anne Maschger, office manager of NEighborhood Family Care.

“(Williams) is very personable, which makes patients loyal to her,” Maschger said.

Williams is board certified and specializes in family medicine with interests in complementary and alternative medicine. Williams graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Maschger said she hopes Williams can serve her patients from the Midtown area at the NEighborhood Family Care clinic as well as serve them in Midtown.

“I think that weekend hours can be very helpful to a busy family,” Williams said in a press release. “Parents cannot always take time off work, but they are often available to bring in a child for their annual physical on a Saturday.”

Neighborhood Family Care will provide Saturday clinics if patient response is favorable. The clinic can be contacted at (816) 241-6334 and is located at 4601 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Mo.
