INDEPENDENCE, Missouri — State Sen. Paul LeVota, D-Independence, will host a Dinner and Dialogue featuring special guest State Sen. Shalonn “Kiki” Curls, D-Kansas City, beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at Van Horn High School, 1109 South Arlington Ave.

Senators LeVota and Curls will discuss with the public their goals for the 2015 legislative session, as well as encourage and answer any questions the public may have. In a press release about the event, LeVota strongly encourages everyone to join the dinner and discussion to become more informed about what’s happening this legislative session.

“I appreciate having an open dialogue with the people of my district and this is a wonderful opportunity to be heard,” LeVota said.

Dinner will be served in the auditorium lobby prior to the meeting. Dinner will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Beginning at 7 p.m., the dialogue will be held in the Van Horn Mallinson Little Theatre. No public funds will be used for any expenses associated with the dinner. Guests are asked to RSVP for the meal at info@paullevota.com. Curls said she appreciates the opportunity to partner with LeVota for the dinner and dialogue.
